My bunny andd  I are staying t my parents house for awhile and he has been so happy with a lot of space to run. However my parents have thick grassy looking carpets and he likes to nibble on it…he is not damaging the carpet but I’m more worried a bout him.

Is it dangerous for him if he ends up eating a bit of the carpet?

yes absolutely. The fibers can cause blockage in his stomach, which can lead to complications and possibly be fatal even

this is a much harder question to answer. Truthfully, I haven’t had personal luck but there are somethings you can try

              1. block off the area. This is the easiest but probably the most intrusive and one that impacts you the most

              2. block the carpet with things that he can or can’t chew. FOr example, putting tile on top so he can’t chew it. Or putting phone books, grass mats or cardboard on top so he can chew it

              3. Using some kind of deterrent such hot sauce or lemon juice, or bitter apple spray. I don’t have personal experiences with this so i’m not recommending the use. I’ve heard both success with some and no success with others
