It may be hard to tell in the picture, but I noticed this black spot in the center on my bunny. It’s kind of fuzzy. Weird. I’m a new bunny owner and tried looking up this, but found nothing. Could someone please help me out. I hope this isn’t an emergency of any kind.

It looks like fur regrowth from shed to me. Is your bunny shedding heavily? Do you see any skin flakes?

As long as the skin looks normal and no dandruffy flakes, I’d keep an eye on it and would bet that it fills back in quickly.

Hi Samcake, Looks like new fur to me.
Has your bunny been molting ?
Bunnies also get pigmenting on their skin like dogs and cats. I had some oops babies and they were quite speckley in some cases before the fur grew in.

She only sheds when I pet her. Nothing huge like molting. She isn’t fixed yet, not sure if that would have anything to do with it… her skin is smooth and pink. No dry flakes or anything.

              Thanks for responding!

I agree, it looks like fur regrowth. It will look more convincing once the fur has grown out a little more.
