Hi all–sorry for all the new threads lately! I’m just going through something completely new and I don’t know what to expect.

So Oliver came back from the hospital yesterday around 3pm. I originally brought him in because, although not unfriendly, all he wanted to do all weekend was sleep. While in the hospital, he didn’t have any drugs–just an IV of fluids to flush his kidneys and an e-collar.

Last night Oliver just wanted to relax, which I understood. Then this morning I realize he hasn’t finished his dinner and isn’t interested in breakfast (but was munching on some hay when I got up) and just wants to sit in a corner. He’s definitely not being his usual chase-the-dog-around self.

Is this to be expected of a bunny who was in the hospital over night?

I would think so. He’s had a pretty traumatic time. Just give him some peace and quiet for a day and see how he is in the morning. Often the greatest stress is being fussed over when you get back to your own space when all you want to do is curl up in your favourite spot and reboot.

Ok that’s what I was thinking. Thanks for putting my mind at rest! This behavior is just so similar to what made me bring him in in the first place…

I completely lose my mind when he’s not right! It’s awful
