I have housed my 3 babies (born October 25th) with the father rabbit due to the fact my female had a second oops litter November 23rd (the two adults are ALWAYS separated now) but for the past week daddy has been attempting to mount his babies.

I’m trying to re home the babies but it’s taking longer than I had hoped. I know they are too young right now to get pregnant but I’m worried.

How old do females have to be to become impregnated?
Should I take him out right away or is it safe for a while?

I would get them into a separate cage immediately, it is unlikely but still possible for them to get pregnant but an even bigger concern is that it may lead to aggressive behavior from the father and he could harm them or worse. Not all bunny daddies are like my Piglet. For their own safety they need to be moved into another cage ASAP.
