        Hi all!

        I am an employee of the Anne Arundel SPCA in Maryland who has been fostering 6 dutch bunnies and their mother. My darlings are wonderful and adorable and have been handled by me since their birth. They were born on July 9 and are about 5 months old now. The age of their mother is unknown.

        There are three boys: Bunnydict Thumperbatch, Sebastian, and Francis;

        And four girls: Periwinkle, Viola, and Rosie Cotton, as well as their mother Hildafern.

        Ideally I would like for them to go home in pairs or at least to a home with another rabbits. In particular, I would love if Rosie Cotton and Hildafern could go home together, as Rosie is a total mama’s girl.

        They cannot be confined to a cage or a hutch and must have a large pen or room with plenty of space to run (they love to run and binky!). You should be willing to feed them a high quality food and hay, as well as fresh vegetables.

        The babies all have their unique personalities but most love to be held and cuddled. Hildafern wasn’t socialized well in whatever situation she came from, as she hates being held and takes a little bit of time to learn to trust. But once she trusts you, she loves to be pet and fawned over.

        Adoptions must be done through the AAC SPCA in Annapolis, MD. However, if you live a distance away, I will be willing to drive the bunnies to you, within reason. Adoption will still be done through the SPCA but we can work out the paperwork. I want to find the best homes possible for my babies. It will be so hard to let them go.

        If you need any info, feel free to contact me. I will post pictures and anything else I think of later.

              Wow! Thanks for doing what you’re doing for these sweet buns. I hope someone here or wherever else you’re looking provides them with a wonderful home. The act of kindness you are doing for them is truly a miracle. If they could thank you, I’m sure they would as much as we do.

                  Although my husband would not be happy about my adopting more bunnies (especially without consulting him), I checked out the website for the AAC SPCA and did not see the little dutchies. Does that mean that they were happily adopted? I hope so! I hope your other bunnies at the AAC SPCA find fur-ever homes soon, as well.

                    I actually still have all the buns! What’s going on is that I’m actually going to be technically adopting all of them myself and then still finding homes for them. This is the deal I worked out with the SPCA. I wanted to have full control of who gets my babies and there are already several rabbits who have been at the shelter for months on end – I wanted them to have first priority since mine are in a good situation and those guys have been sitting in tiny cages for far too long

                    So they aren’t going to show up on the website, but I still have everyone available for adoption.

                      That’s so nice that you’re giving those other bunnies a better chance at being adopted, and nice that you’re taking on the dutchies in the mean time.

                          Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA – Life is crazy.

                          Update on the bunnies: I still have them all!

                          However, due to sudden unexpected plans, I will be moving out of my parent’s home in two months and desperately need to find homes for my darlings before then. I have officially adopted them myself from the SPCA in order to be able to personally screen their adopters, and as such, they do have a $25 adoption fee to simply cover that cost.
