litter training foster buns

I’m fostering from a local shelter, two buns from the same litter, Floyd and Scout, brother and sister.

This is my first time officially litter training. My last rabbit Toby, was litter trained before coming into my home. So lucky!

Floyd took to litter training well, but Scout still has no idea what the litter box is for, and I think Floyd just ends up using it as a bed

Currently they are staying in an enclosed area, with newspaper as a layer. I have two litter pans set out, one blue and one beige, assuming they would want to go in corners, this is not the truth lol. I moved all of the soiled newspaper into the litter boxes, and Floyd took to his well, and has started going in the blue pan.

Scout on the other hand, doesn’t understand the concept. Over two days, i have moved any soiled newspaper into the beige pan. Once she just went back to the same spot to pee, so i cleaned it up with vinegar/water, laid new paper and also moved the box to that area. Then she decided somewhere else. so I cleaned it again, new paper, even changed the angles of the other box so she wouldn’t go there anymore. Then I put a wicker basket with newspaper…just to see what she would do. And sure enough she peed in the wicker basket, along with one more spot. So i moved the box AGAIN, to where the wicker basket was, plus put the wicker basket IN the litter box. And now we wait to see what happens.

It’s harder to tell, since there are both of them, and I’m not around 100% of the time to know for sure what is going on. I know being able to shoo them into the box would help but I always seem to catch the after math. I think I caught her doing it in the middle of it but it was too late. I shoo’d her but she didn’t finish in the box

Would it be easier to separate them a bit til she has better habits? I am able to put a temp wall made of grids in the middle of the enclosure.
