        Hi All,

I got a new bunny about two months ago. At first, she was in a cage (as I was bonding with my other bun). She would spend quite a bit of the night digging and pushing around the litter. Once they were bonded and in a shared space, this stopped…at least temporarily. Now, she will dig and kick out the litter ALL the time. I have a large (20″x24″), low entry litter pan. I need the low entry for my older bunny, and that makes it VERY easy for her to kick out all the litter.

I set up a digging box for her. She uses it, but I guess doesn’t like it enough. I assume she’s bored, but I don’t know what else to try. She does play with toys..for about two seconds…then she’s done. I don’t know what else to try.

I am wondering what you all have done to help resolve this type of problem. I appreciate any suggestions.

        Thanks

        Eileen

There are litter box screens available, and some are sold in the BB store:
http://store.binkybunny.com/litter-box-screen-onlybinkybunny-p111.aspx?Thread=True, but even the large size isn’t as big as your litter box. You may be able to find some larger screens elsewhere.

Do you think it would work if you had a separate litter box for your new bunny? One that a screen might fit better. Or would you be concerned that your older bunny would try to use it and possibly hurt himself trying to get in and out of it? I know you certainly don’t want that to happen.

I hope that you can find a good solution to the problem.

Thanks tobyluv…so much. I just ordered two of them. One custom made size!! And one smaller for my extra litter box.
