So after days of racking my brain as to how to make a ramp for my fatty senior bunny’s new condo, I finally came up with a solution that works. Well he is still scared to go up but we’re working on that. I tried fleece on coroplast on top of NIC grids and he was slipping down. My bunny is a huge chewer so things like carpet and wood were not an option.

Basically for my ramp I have 2 grids zip tied together. I then zip tied coroplast along the edges to it and zip tied the whole thing to the grid wall and the level it goes up to. I then took 2 17″ long seagrass mats and zip tied them to the grid wall as well.

I then drilled 6 holes in the coroplast to attach the mats to it and the grids below. 2 holes per zip tie.

I then zip tied the two mats together with just one tie.

I still need to put a dowel for support under the ramp and some fleece on the edges to cover the zip ties and cut the outer zip ties. I’ll update with new pics when its all done he is still in his old cage…this was just a test run haha.

EDIT: how do I post pictures?? Lol I tried html and the square brackets img tag…neither are working. I uploaded to photobucket

I can’t see the pics, but we did something similar in Kieko’s condo except we used plywood for the ramp and zip tied Oxbow hay mats to the ramps. Didn’t know it at the time but Lieth Petwerks sells the ramps they use in their condos for like $16, complete with indoor/outdoor carpet, rumble strips, and hinges already attached. I bought theirs for the ramp on our sideways E hidey house.

Yea I actually saw that and was going to order it but shipping to Canada was $32! I didn’t feel like spending $50 on one ramp haha.

I just put the non working links in the post for now…if someone can please help me post the pictures that would be great =\

I can copy and paste the links. Looks alot like our ramps except ours are the width of the mats (Kieko is small) and some of our mats are a little “chewed” now!
