        Hello,

I have an almost 4 year old mini rex rabbit who I’ve had his entire life. He was easily litter box trained and has had maybe 4 accidents in his adult life. (Sometimes I notice his starting to back up in the corner of my couch to pee but I’ll brush him away and he runs to his litter box before actually peeing).

Today, he had 2 accidents peeing in the same spot of my couch. I’m wondering if anyone has any idea why or anything that I can do? I tried to clean it best I can, but I’m afraid he’ll smell his pee and try and pee there again.

        Thanks!

You are right. He might think to pee there again. Maybe you could clean the couch and keep him off for a while.
Our rabbits occasionally do this on the floor and once on the couch.

My Bam peed on the couch after I’d had him for a year. I had him neutered and all was fine. Then this year in spring, he had a relapse (over a year after his neuter) so I had to block his access to the couch. After about a month I could remove the blockage because he seemed to have forgotten all about wanting to get up there and pee. He’s not been up there since, but next spring – who knows?
