I got a new 3 month d lionhead and I have a 1 yr old American fuzzy lop. They bonded in less than a week . Pretty much love on thier 4 th date . I like them being together but thier diet is different with her being so young . She’s good eater not picky at all . She eats hay , pallets . and greens . I have her on alfalfa hay and lots of pallets and some greens. I reAlly didmg give the older one pallets ater he hit one bc I feed high quality hay and he ears a ton . No need to supplement with pallets. I have been giving him pallets with the baby and some alfalfa . He still eats his Timothy pretty well but I wanted to know is this bad to do for a few months til she’s old enough not to need pellets and alfalfa . I should I lock her up in her cage to eat all day ? Thanks Joyce

You can let the two rabbits be together with just Timothy hay. When one gets a special type of food you can separate them.
Otherwise they should eat hay all day long. My adopted bunnies ate timothy most of the time. Pellets are mostly alfalfa and the young one might not like them as he ages.
For our older bunnies pellets go to waste. Greens, hay and occasional fruit have kept them alive for years.
