I was hoping someone could give me an idea for something to use to discourage our bunny from using one corner of my children’s playroom as a litter box. She’s great with using her litter box that’s in her cage as well, it’s not like she’s peeing all over the house, I just don’t want her using this corner anymore. I’m not sure if she’s fixed yet (she was a stray and we have her first vet appointment coming up soon), so I’m wondering if maybe that has something to do with it. In any event, does anyone know of something I can put there, maybe something with a scent she doesn’t like, to keep her out? I’ve tried using peppermint oil, but to no avail.

You should just place a litter box there or block her from the room entirely. Blocking just that corner might help but she may also go to the bathroom right outside the barricade.

Hey our bunnies look a lot alike!
Unfortunately I can’t put a litter box here, since it’s my girls playroom, and I really don’t want my 16 month old getting into the litter. We live in a small apartment, and this is our only bunny-proof room. That’s why I was hoping to find some way to keep her away from this corner.

hmm can you put the litter there when she is in the room? given that your daughter is so young, I would assume that she has to be monitered constantly so while the bunny isn’t allowed access, just remove the litter box

I went ahead and put a litter box down like you all suggested- aaaand she hasn’t gone near that corner since. So I guess I found a deterrent after all haha.
