I’m kinda worried because Riley started sneezing and white foamy gunk came out of his nose. I didn’t get the best look since he promptly rubbed it all off and ate it =_=

He seems to of stopped but I’m making an appointment for the vet anyway (he needs his claws cut anyway).

He’s always been sneezing since I got him, but I just thought it was all the dust around here since nothing has ever come out.

Hello! I’m new to the bunny thing but I’ve had my bun for about 7 months now. When he was younger he sneezed a lot and when I took him to the vet the Dr didn’t seem worried about it, he thought it was just from my bun digging in his hay which can be dusty. I started to shake out the hay and all the small dusty parts and it minimized his sneezing dramatically. Not sure if that is the issue but thought I would give my personal input as to what happened to my bun hope yours gets better and it’s nothing major!

Thanks, the vet said as long as it wasn’t yellow but to keep an eye on him and bring him in tomorrow if anything changes. I try to keep most of the hay dust out of what he eats but Riley has a bad habbit of sticking his head behind things and eating cobwebs and dust.
It’s been really hot so I haven’t had the doors open so it is a little air-less in here, hopefully that’s not the cause because it’s going to be hellish this summer.

If it keeps up, I would def get it checked out. It could have been some dust but a regular discharge is not normal and could indicate a problem.

Well he seems to be on edge today, I’m going to bring him to the vet first thing on Monday.
I hope he’ll be ok for the weekend. I gave him a little spay with cold water because for some reason his ears were really hot.

This is sounding like the start of an infection to me, I would go to the vet today. Putting it off may allow an infection to take hold and develop into something much more aggressive that requires prolonged treatment and expense. Early treatment could make all the difference to the cost, duration and successful recovery.

Sadly there’s nothing I can do until Monday when the vet’s open, I’ll keep my eye on him but he hasn’t foamed up again, he’s just hot behind the ears and he just feels like laying around.

He’s been sneezing more and his nose is kinda redder than normal, I’m still taking him to the vet on monday but he seems off sorts.
