Oxbow put a sample of their new ‘stack’ product in my latest bag of timothy hay. Tonight I decided to give it a try and see how the buns enjoyed it. I changed out the litter for fresh, unwrapped the haystack, pulled it apart, stuck it in the box and put the box back in the condo. My girl ran straight for the box, stopping just short of getting inside. Delicately, she leaned her wee little head into the box, sniffed the stacked (still somewhat compressed) hay, then pulled a chunk out to eat. My babies love hay generally, and this format looks like a big hit; she worked at the compressed hay for several minutes.

When the first chunk was finally gone, she leaned back into the litterbox and, as she lifted up her rear, I noticed a huge pile of over two dozen poops! *facepalm* I lightly scooped her up and deposited her inside the box. My babies seem to think anywhere they can chew hay is, by definition, a fine place to poop. <3

Yep, if something is going in one end, something else must come out the other end!
