I have a bonded pair, neutered, that get along very well but each morning when I wake up to feed them, there is a chase where one would chase the other. Very consistent and it is always a one-way chase and on several occasions, I’ve found fur on the floor as a result. This seems to stop once I feed them their pellets in the morning.

So has anyone experienced something similar; what would cause such behavior? What causes fighting/chasing in general? Could it be that one is provoking the other?

Thanks in advance for your input!

If it only happens at morning feeding time, its possible that they are just super excited and the chaser wants food NOW and the other bun keeps getting in the way. My lops will do this sometimes at pellet time, and one or the other will even climb on top of the other bunny trying to reach the bowls as I’m setting them down. It all stops once each bun has a bowl with pellets — half the time they will then both move to one bowl until its empty then both move on to the other bowl.
