I have a male mini-rex and a female jersey wooly and they are both young 4-5 months.  Got them both fixed 3 weeks ago, kept separate for a couple weeks until he could be in the big cage without humping her all the time.  I put pee pads on the bottom floor of their cage (used to put a bunch of bedding/litter along with boxes) – and they use the boxes for peeing nearly all the time.  Found a spot last night but I think the box needed changed.  Still poop all over the floor on that level, but no other level.

I’m just amazed!  Not sure how to get them to poop more in the boxes tho but I’m happy about the peeing part!!

ya, litterboxes, lol! It was like bam! they started using them. It’s so much easier to keep their cage nice and clean. They don’t even poo on my carpet now when they run around. I am trying to decide if I should get bigger boxes though. I have pretty little ones from walmart, but my bunnies are small. Does anyone know if it’s best to have 2 boxes for 2 buns? or one larger one?

Mine share one, but bigger is always better.

I think I’m going to get a bigger one. I keep finding pee right by the box and I think it’s going over the edge. Thanks!
