For the past 3 days my buns have been doing well with their bonding sessions. We put them in the xpen for about an hour without us being in there. They spend a few Minutes looking around, then eat the greens I put in. After that the dominance staring contest( heads lowered looking at each other wanting to be groomed) a little nip or 2 by one of them when it gets frustrated.

Usually followed by some self grooming and basically ignore each other with an occasional staring contest or nip here and there. Yesterday a little bit of circling but it stopped before anything happened.

This goes on for about an hour the we put them back in their pens.

Thinking about doing this for another week or so, but really unsure what our next step should be. Any thoughts on how it’s going?

you could extend the bonding sessions from an hour to say an hour and a half. Or if you got the time you could take say the weekend and set them up and have a big session like 4 hours each day. That’s what I did then I moved the session to 6 hours then 8 hours and then over night. I didn’t make it a strict time period but I got to where I could tell when they reached their limit and wanted to go back to their own space. It sounds like things are going pretty well for you just keep at it. Best of luck!
