I was gone Friday night and came back Saturday to give Jude his vegetables and make sure he had food and water and such. I sat in the floor with him for a while then had to leave again for the night. I came back Sunday afternoon and gave him vegetables and water and sat in the floor with him then went on with the rest of the stuff I had to do. He had been out of his cage for 2 nights free range because I wasn’t there and only cage him when I am there and have to sleep because if I don’t he is too noisy and I can’t sleep. I went to put him in his cage at 9 which was usually his bed time to give him 20 minutes to settle down before I go to bed.. so I sat in the floor near his cage and messed with some things in his cage because that usually makes him nosy and want to see what I’m doing and he came and looked at me like ‘ i’m not going in there’ and then he hopped away under my bed. So I just sat there waiting on him to come out again and it was almost 10 before he came out again and so I got him near the entrance of his cage and kind of boxed him in with my arms and body and he scratched at my arm with both of his paws and looked like he was boxing with my arm? It didn’t hurt but kind of scared me..I eventually just picked him up and put him in his cage and went to bed kind of upset that he got so mad at me..I guess no more staying away at night because he gets a taste of freedom while i’m gone..

Put a little neosporin on your scratches, but otherwise it’s nothing to worry about. Yes, he was mad, though possibly just at you trying to put him back when he didn’t want to go. Sammy has boxed me since she was a baby, and it’s to get me to leave her alone. Some bunnies do that, some don’t. They have moods, and they let you know it. You are probably right that he disapproves of your new changes in schedule, and then more changes back. Bunnies like their routines, too.

he didn’t even scratch my skin because I had a long sleeved shirt on and he scratched at the sleeve it just worried me..and ever since then he’s been cuddly and fine and he’s actually been really cuddly today because he’s not use to me being home all day and i’m off school for election day. Last night I actually left him out all night instead of putting him in the cage since I didn’t have school and if he was noisy I could just sleep late which I did but he actually wasn’t too bad. He scratched a lot at the floor like he was digging which he does a lot and sometimes he tries to climb on my bed with me so I might eventually get him like a dog stairs for the bed so he can get up and down as he pleases and can sleep with me and cuddle if he wants.
