Okay so here is my problem, Voldemort was great at using his letterbox, he never had accidents EVER.
Well we just got him fixed about 3 and a half weeks ago and now all of a sudden he is determined to dig out all of the litter and throw it all over the floor…. He still does his business in the box but there has been times when (I was at work) he dug all of the litter out, to where there was nothing left and he peed on the plastic. He still doesn’t ever have accidents or anything but I’m just getting sick of having bedding EVERYWHERE!
Has anyone else had this problem after having their bun neutered? What is causing him to do this? And is there anything I can do to correct it?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

          Hi and welcome Callie!

A lot of people have problems with their buns digging through their litter. Many people use a litterbox screen (sold in the shop here!) to prevent this. Or, you could try a different litter, but that’s a much less effective way of discouraging this.

So he is just being a stinker then! Looks like I will add one of those to my wish list for them for Christmas!

Bramble took to obsessive digging after he was neutered, he was digging at everything and making an awful mess. This seems to have settled a bit now though and he is not doing it anywhere near as much, he will still dig but usually in his digging box or hay box now rather than his litter or the rugs. I don’t know if its anything to do with his hormones settling or not but it started right after he was neutered in September and has settled down in the last few weeks.

Yeah it was the weirdest thing ever it was like 2 weeks after he got neutered he just got absolutely obsessed with digging in his litter! (And everywhere else) at first i thought it was cute but after cleaning it up for the hundredth time it’s not exactly adorable lol! Hopefully he will chill out, he usually is satisfied once he reaches the plastic tray but sometimes he will just sit and dig at that until I shush him.
