Theres no sign of injuries with his bones, so is he okay? I dropped him twice by accident, i was holding him and he squirmed out of my hands! Landed on carpet, but still concerned. How do I check to see if his insides are okay, what are signs of internal damage?

        Thanks, I’m worried about him/her.

Hi MXP, How old is the baby and how far did the baby fall to the carpet ? Baby bunnies like many babies have soft flexible bones when they are little which gives them a bit more resilience.

Baby bones are much more flexible and less brittle than adult bones. If there is no bruising or sign of concussion it’s probably fine.

When my son was a few months old I was walking with him in the park across the street. I tripped in a groundhog hole and we both fell. I was hurt more than he was, actually he wasn’t hurt at all. Mom’s drop babies all the time, and it only rarely results in injury is it’s on a soft surface.

I don’t know if this helps, but the day we went to get our lops, the breeder met us in a parking lot. She handed Marlee to me and before I could take her, she ran up my chest and jumped off my shoulder like a flying squirrel and landed on the asphalt. Scared me to death. She was fine.

Same!! So worried about my bunny. She’s 4 months and doesn’t usually act up, but she jumped out of my arms! I was so scared. Don’t remember how she landed, but I’m bringing her to the vet for an appointment in a month. Will she be okay?? I’m so scared!

Hi BunzRus! This thread is very old (2014). If you have a question about your bunny, I would suggest starting a new thread so people do not get confused.

If your bunny fell, then you should check her over thoroughly to make sure there aren’t any obvious injuries. A month is a long time to wait to have her see a vet. If she is injured, you should get her seen ASAP.
