Bubbles has suddenly since being neutered become a complete pain in the butt who’s insisting on trashing the house :-/ he found a corner of the carpet that he likes and insists on digging it completely pulling the carpet up, it doesn’t matter how I try to block it off or distract him he goes straight back to it he has a tray filled with wood pellets to dig in, which Fudge wil happily dig in and fling everywhere but not Bubbles, does anyone have any suggestions ?b

Sorry. No idea how to fix that. Rabbits get things on their head and it’s fun! Someone with a trick will hopefully jump on. I suppose you could put something right over the spot or try giving hm his own fluffy carpet to destroy, but I’m guessing that because it’s off limits, it’s even more fun and nothing else will quite be the same.

How weird, Bramble has also taken to digging since being neutered, something he never did before. Thankfully I don’t have carpets so he isn’t ruining anything but he is digging like a bunny possessed. The only thing I can suggest is a blanket, we have a pet blanket (the big ones you get for dogs) that we put down for him under his pen because of the wood flooring (he can hop about just fine on the flooring but we use the blanket in his pen) Bramble digs up a corner of the blanket, but he leaves everything else pretty much alone. Maybe if you covered the area he is digging he would concentrate on the blanket rather than the carpet.

I agree with the idea of placing a towel or blanket in the area.
Pete NEVER dug before his fix, but apparently the hormones were getting there pretty quick because the two day following the neuter I had smelly-boy-litter-boxes. He threw a hissy fit and started digging at the carpet when he couldn’t get behind his cage the other day, and has since become obsessed with that spot. He pulled the towel mostly off his cage and has built a nest out of it, saving our carpet. He fluffs the towel-nest every time he goes back to the spot; and has not dug at anything else or anywhere else. I finally figured out that his sudden need for a nest seems to be more related to the fact that for the first time in his life we had to turn the heat on instead of the AC, and his new spot happens to be below the ceiling vent. My silly spoiled boy.

You’ll have to share him with me Megabunny! I fell in love with him after hearing that he pushes his empty orchard hay box out of his hidey cave and pulls it back in once it’s re-filled!

Maybe we could meet in the middle and trade off every week or two. That’s OK with you, right Cottontail?? You could have Pete for Christmas and two weeks in the summer, OK?

JR and Mega, As much as I’m sure Pete would do fine on his commutes, I’m sure that that schedule would not work out so well for Ms. Zoey.  She would probably insist on chaperoning.   If he goes missing I think I’ll have to start heading south again looking for him!
