If I’m upset usually like crying my bunny tends to thump is it because she doesn’t like the sound of me or is she getting “vibes” off me and doing it? She tends to thump for virtually no reason usually unless she hears things I don’t which is entirely possible.

Bunnies will thump to indicate “danger” or when they are annoyed or even when they are excited. Unusual noises or actions, strangers, “imaginary” enemies/predators, anything scary, etc. can all get them thumping. Kicking off on a bunny 500 can also do it. Moshi will thump off of a door at the end of our hallway to pick up speed on a bunny 500. Marlee will thump if I’m not moving fast enough when serving bunny salads.

I would guess that you crying is new and scary to your bunny because you are probably are making noises that are different than she’s used to hearing from you. She may be thumping to let you know this and to tell you that she does not approve of you being sad and crying!

I agree with this^. I think that loud sounds or ones that they aren’t used to will cause them to thump. More than once a week I’ve set off my alarm because I set it to STAY, then gone to my bedroom and open a window. Meanwhile Cinder would be thumping away, while a 92 dB alarm goes off until I can run back to the kitchen and disarm it.
