So I’ve had my rabbit, Fuji, for a few days now.  He is use to me and feels comfortable in my place.  He doesn’t seem to like me touching or petting him but I just figured that is because he is not use to me touching him that much.  So if I tried to calmly pet him whenever he approaches me or when I give him treats, do you think he will just become use to it and accept it?  I’m obviously not forcing him to be held by me, but just getting use to people touching him.

Touching him when giving him treats should help. Touching him whenever he comes near you, without treats, may make him not come near you. The best thing you can do is just sit or lay at his level and don’t try to touch him. Once he’s comfortable and knows that you’re not going to reach for him every time he comes near, then you could start offering treats, and then add a little touch along with the treat. It’s hard not to steal a few rubs with such cute furry buns, but taking it slow and letting the bunny dictate the terms is the best way to go when earning a bunny’s trust.
