So Harry had his neuter surgery today. He’s doing really well and the vet said everything went smoothly. When he got home he peed and pooped and had some water. He hasn’t eaten a ton but has nibbled some hay. I’m a little concerned that now that he anaesthesia has fully worn off he is becoming aware of his stitches/incision area. He hasn’t wanted to move around much but now he is starting to try to lick and investigate his underside (like putting his head underneath his chest). I know that the stitches are probably pretty far back closer to his tail but should I be concerned that he might reach there and do some damage during the night? I don’t have a cone or anything like that, the vet just told me to keep an eye on him but that he should be fine and will leave them alone (apparently he missed the part of our conversation where I explained how much of a stubborn brat my baby can be)

Also on another note I’m getting some major bunny stink eye because I am the big bad human who got him settled in his pen and then *gasp* closed the door behind him! Somebunny is quite used to being able to come and go as he pleases and is not impressed with my insolence.

Aw poor little guy! He’ll forgive you soon enough.

          {{{Vibes}}} for Harry!

He’s probably investigating the site cos its a bit tender and likely smells different. I’d check morning after the surgery. He should be ok.

Thanks Jersey! I never thought of the smelling different… he seems to have decided to lay down again so hopefully he’s done for the night. Poor guy I just want o explain to him why this is for his own good. He’s milking it for all it’s worth I swear.
