        Hello,

I have a xpen related questions.

My bunny is a monster. i’ve accepted this.  She needs constant supervision and basically short of bunny proofing EVERYTHING she will get into trouble.  For example, if there is any cloth, towels, sofas, she will dig and chew and eat.  So unless you live in a room of only cardboard and wood, basically everything can be hazard.  I’ve accepted this so I have to constantly watch her.  When I cant or get tired, I have her in an xpen.

Before she was in a cage with bedding, i finally got her spayed and now she is litter box trained! yes! finally!!!!

so the next step for me is to expand her cage.  I thought about the cubes but it doesn’t look like that will happen soon, so i’m looking into having her xpen attached during hours I am not home and during the night. The xpen set up is really more of two xpens linked together with her cage in insde (along an edge).  Its quite large and takes up about 1/3 of the room.

My question is this. In the xpen, I currently have a short tunnel, a long tunnel, a copy paper box turned into a hidey house and a store bought wood hidey house.  She likes to roam around them.  But in terms of space, should she have a more open space in the xpen or should I continue to have all these things for her?  With all the stuff, it basically cuts the space in the xpen to 1/2 or 1/3 open space.

        Thoughts?

Are the things arranged so that she can run around them (like do a lap around them)? Can you post a picture?

I have three xpens less a few panels hooked together with a dog crate, wooden hidey house, a tunnel haven, and a one level mini haven. I swap tunnels and mazes in and out to give the bunnies “new” adventures. Other than the dog crate blocking one corner, my bunnies can run around or through everything or hop around the open areas.
