I’ve had Nala for about 2 months ago and I made the bottom of her cage out of plastic I found at Home Depot and litter trained her with plastic tubs filled with bedding and hay.  The plastic on the bottom of her cage is too slippery for her so in order to keep her from slipping around in her cage I bought a rubber bath mat at target and put it down in her cage.

She seems a lot more comfortable now and doesnt slip however occasionally she digs up the mat and bites off pieces and eats it.  I know that can’t be good for her.  I don’t want to take the mat out because she gets too scared to move around since she slips so much but I also don’t want to glue it down because I’m worried she’d eventually dig it up again and then eat the glue.  Any advice??

any chance of changing the bottom of the cage instead so its not as slippery? its kind of a lose lose situation here because no bath mats = uncomfortable living conditions and bath mats = potentially expensive, and even deadly blockage

Have you tried hay or grass mats? These will provide traction and won’t hurt her if she nibbles. Check on the BB store.
