My bun never seems to want to stop eating pellets when I free feed. She eats until she’s is absolutely stuffed with a big fat food belly. Is this ok?? She will eat timothy hay when I restrict pellets but should i restrict pellets if Im not feeding her Alfalfa hay? The pellets are oxbow young rabbit food. Please let me know!! Thanks guys?

Yes, this is okay. She should only be eating alfalfa hay and alfalfa pellets (I really like the Oxbow ones you are using). Your bunny is still growing, and alfalfa is what helps her grow. It’s okay to keep feeding her this, as long as she isn’t fat/overweight.

I stopped feeding my bunnies alfalfa at 6 months (that’s just when the stopped growing). If you feed alfalfa to older rabbits, it makes them fat and contains too much calcium.
