JR that is indeed true. She and I have agreed on a litter corner, however she does not agree about keeping her box there. That is her diggy box, not for litter. Sigh. I think I will try a different type of box.

We ended up using industrial strength velcro (velcroed litterbox to the bottom of the “kitchen/bathroom” crate in the bunny area) to keep Moshi from dragging the litterboxes around. Poor Marlee couldn’t pee without being taken for a ride! Moshi still digs in the litterboxes but at least they stay put and he isn’t tugging on them.

Hmm, I may have to resort to that! Lol Bruno and Harley and Roxie and Caesar drag theirs around, but they use it wherever it is. Silly Annie thinks it’s in the way of her litter spot! Lol

Not many photos of Nala because she hates her photo taken, but this is the nicest I can get lately, she sure does love carrots. 

However, Duchess has been working out lately and using the treadmill! 

…Well, using it to sleep on…

Also, there was a mishap with my father placing everything on the treadmill, and as I took a photo to complain about how I couldn’t use it, I noticed SOMEONE hiding in the background… Spot the bunny! (And please ignore the mess, we’re actually in the middle of moving and my dad’s DJ equipment has taken residence in the living room.)

Andi here is a picture of the rabbit’s little castle type house set up. I posted the picture in some other thread. I got it for them as a”Bunnymoon” present since I had finally gotten them bonded. The hubby and I spotted a little kid’s tent and tunnel set up in a catalogue last week, we are going to check it out tomorrow. I’ll let you know how we go??? He he he he….. Seriously, the kid’s moved out and I went ‘woo-hoo’ when they took all there crap with them. I can’t believe that I am refilling my house with kiddy stuff for A bunny! Good grief! LOL!

LOL Andi I know what you mean. We cant believe we dedicated a bedroom for our rabbits. Mine just love to chew too much to be free range. My husband says our rabbits are way spoiled. Since they have their bunny room set up I think they are good on presents for a year or so. hehe

The tent and tunnel set up sounds fun. I had a cat tunnel the rabbits and cats took turns playing in but they wore it out.

My parent’s moved last weekend and even though it was only 5 miles away (compared to the 200 miles I drove with her a little over a month ago), I don’t think Meki took it well…

She’s been glaring at me since we moved, haha. She’s been eating like a horse, but she will RIP a piece of hay from her hay rack and glare at me while it disappears into her mouth and then RIP another out and keep glaring. 

I think she might still love me. Only when I pet Her Highness’ face, though.

Notice the xpens surrounding the bunny area?!?! The xpens completely surround them, and we have sheets of coroplast between the xpens and the walls to protect the baseboards from Marlee. The tv and xbox cables are blocked off.

You can’t really see much in the pic, but we put down a brand new bunny proof floor in the room but had to cover the bunny area floor with fleece so that Marlee’s royal feet would not have to touch the poison floor! Also had to put down throw rugs so she could come outside the xpens when we’re around. The things we do for picky bunnies!

True enough! I’ve been doing just that. I gave her treats right after I moved her in because I was afraid she’d go through a bout of stasis again like the last time I moved her, but instead her face immediately connected to that bowl and she ate all the treats in there as if I’ve starved her for years! That punk was eating hay in her travel cage during the whole move, she was not starving, lol.

And sometimes I put a little bracelet of mine on her head as a crown, she’s beneath that kind of behavior though and shakes it off before  I can ever get a decent picture, lol. I’ll get one someday!

When I fostered some lops (under a year old) the boys all started tearing up their litterboxes. I had to have them all separated once they hit puberty and it was like they were competing for who could mess up their pens the most. It was madness.
I think I have mentally blocked out much of that time. I have vague recollections.

Well if it makes you feel better, I bought 3 so I paid $15 overall and not one of them is them are currently in use! Aliís nearly destroyed hers when she was single. She loved it though! The others have kept peeing in theirs so they’re confiscated for now.

Normally they are $15 each but every now and then they run a special.

I agree! Smart and mischievous! He’s like, way too smart for his own good. But it’s also why I love him. xP The cutest thing he does by far, and why we often refer to him as Professor or Scholar, is that he likes to pull books off the shelf. He doesn’t chew them up, he just pulls them off and looks at us. The best one was when he pulled off a Peter Rabbit book. I died from the cute.

Beka – the bunnies are loving the sideways E! Both love sitting on top of it (they are using the ramp to get up.and down even though its not that high). I thought they’d sleep in it, but they seem to prefer to run through it and play in it (rearranging the fleece inside and dragging toys into it) and are still sleeping in their tunnel haven. So glad I found your original post with pics and dimensions!

Bam – Yohio is very adorable! There is so much you can do with pumpkin! Have you tried experimenting with butternut squash? It is so similar to pumpkin but sweeter!! Good for soups!! I have a yummy pumpkin quick bread recipe ( like banana bread but with pumpkin!) if you are interested! – I grew up in a bakery.

Nora – Oh my goodness that tail! And that sweet face. He looks so relaxed!

JackRabbit – Thank you! I think so too. I feel like he’s already slightly bigger than when I got him last week. I am going to have to take daily pictures to keep track! I am looking forward to him being a mega bunny, thats why I got a flemish, but also so very sad that he’s not going to stay this little.

Just about 10 minutes ago we had a real bonding moment!! It was amazing! I went to pick him up ( he was hopping around my room while I got ready for bed ) and he hopped away, but came right back and nuzzled into my hand like “pet me!” and when I started to pet him he sorta ” sat down” so to speak. Then about 15 seconds later threw his feet out to the side and laid down to enjoy his pets! Warmed my heart!

LeaLou, it really is heart-warming, when a bunny sticks his head into your hand and wants to be pet =) Yohio does this a lot.

I’d love a pumpkin quick bread recipy. I currently have 3 beautiful butternut pumpkin (squashes) sitting on my balcony waiting for me to get around to them. I’m planning to get more. More pumpkins is my new motto!

Yohio never touched his mashed pumpkin btw. Luckily I have a veggie-loving dog who came to the rescue. She licked the saucer clean, then flipped it over in search of more =)

Last night Merry was hanging out on my lap, like so:

I thought this was pretty cute so I took a few pictures. He doesn’t mind the camera at all (Pippin will move when he hears the shutter sound). In fact, he got so comfortable that about 5 minutes later he decided to flop over onto his side–unfortunately for him my legs aren’t that wide, but fortunately for me I was about to take a picture so I captured him rolling right off!

I died laughing. What a silly bunny!! (He was fine, of course, and came back up on my lap for another hour before deciding to pee on me ended THAT for the night!)

Okay: So it’s not a *picture* so to speak, but I know some people have asked for video of Peter. Peter, however, is difficult to video or photograph because he loves running under furniture or into rooms with low lighting. I’ve been slowly associating the camera with raisins, and this seems to make him a bit more receptive to paparazzi.

Cottontail – he’s so sweet! Somebody got his ears, poor baby. Makes me want to hug him!

He reminds me so much of Kieko except she is more “condensed” and weighs 3 lbs. Peter seems to be just as curious and nosey as Kieko though! I love it!

JR , His ears are a result of the cuts and scabs he had on them when he was tiny. They were easy to miss at first, but as his ears got longer his scars widened out with them. They don’t bother him though. Pete only weighs about 2.2lbs at the moment, but from what I’ve seen of your posts about Kieko I think they’d probably have a blast getting into mischief together!

My bunnies aren’t usually in my room, but I’m considering bringing them to hang out in there more often they were SO good! I had to move them in there temporarily while our roof was being done.

Bam I think they were mad at me and wanted me to leave them alone. I had taken a couple of pictures of them before that. In the evenings after they have gotten their dinner pellets and veggies they just seem to want to be together and want their “servant” to leave them alone for the rest of the night. hehe

Lol Lily always looks a little disgruntled. She usually likes stuffed animals though, probably because they don’t try to pet her.

Snuggling bunnies! They’re so cute in the first one, and then a bit imperious in the second. Which sort of encapsulates bunnyhood, I think.

It would be my dream to have a bonded pair like that, Sindriona. When I see Downton Abbey and Maggie Smith (the Dowager Dutchess) is on, I always think of rabbits. They have that same air of dignified disapproval =)

Oh yes, Bruno’s mama, he’s much better! I still syringe-feed him twice a day though because the poop isn’t quite normal size yet. But he’s social again and moves around and comes for pets and he eats leaves, mostly jerusalem artichokes. The pic is from yesterday right after a feeding-session, that’s why there’s some goo in his “beard”.

JR I think they were thinking just that . I get that feeling from them more and more. Yesterday when I would visit them if I didn’t have anything food wise for them they didn’t want anything to do with me until later in the evening when they cuddle and want pets from me. Its really the only time now that Kilala will let me pet her. They are so spoiled.

Bam glad that Yohio is feeling better. It was a lot of work to get those two bonded but I definitely know it was worth it. They love each other so much now even more than me but that’s good. My husband will say to me how weird it is now that they love each other so much when they hated each other for so long. And yes they do seem to have the dignified disapproval look about them. hehe

Sindriona — Do either of them ever seem jealous when you pet the other one? Whenever I pet Moshi, Marlee runs over and starts grooming him. If I don’t stop, even if I try to pet her too, she’ll hop away and give me the butt. After that, she won’t have anything to do with me for awhile. If I’m petting her and Moshi comes over, she has even nipped his butt to get him to leave. This just started a few weeks ago.

JR they don’t seem to get jealous if I am petting one and not the other but if my cat comes over and starts grooming Kilala Usagi will run over and move him out of the way.

Sounds like you get to be a neutral party. I used to be the neutral keeper of the food. Now my bunnies seem to have turned into children and everybun wants to be the favorite. I’m too old to go through some of these things again!

Okayyy so I’ve been away from BinkyBunny too long and is going to take awhile to catch up with all the cuteness I’ve missed!! But I had to make sure I come back this month cuz it’s almost the end of October and I can’t wait to see some Halloween buns?!!

Here’s a pic of Simba with a wheatgrass patch I got him for the first time yesterday! I was so happy he was binkying around the grass all night that I didn’t make him go back to his pen until he finally settled down to relax (now I am exhausted at work)

Diamond – I wish I had recorded it! Simba hasn’t really binkied much with any of the new toys I’ve gotten him recently so I didn’t expect his reaction to the wheatgrass… if only I knew… (have video recording ready if you do get some wheatgrass for Lily!) hehe

AndHenry – haha if I remember correctly, I believe you “stole” my Simba too during the forum’s little bun-napping game so nothing to be jealous of… but I would love to see more pics of Henry also! =)

JackRabbit – oh my I can only imagine the mess digging would make haha so far Simba just keeps chinning the patch before munching… but I started with a small one to see how he likes it so a large patch might be a different story… but since I don’t take Simba outdoors to play, I got the idea of bringing the outdoors into my home for him from seeing my friend’s bunnies with their large wheatgrass patch (pic included for October Piccies chat)

I got wheatgrass last year for the cats but they wouldn’t eat it but the bunnies did enjoy it. I will probably grow it again. I enjoyed the pictures and video of the rabbits eating it.

Diamond – aww I love watching Lily with her wheatgrass! Just a note – since Simba ate from the top without pulling the roots out, I sprinkled some water and put it by the window and the grass has almost grown back to the length of when I got it already!
