So Sage is 5 months old now. Almost time to get him fixed. But that’s not what I’m here for. I’m here cause I’m wondering if there is anything I can give him besides hay and pellets?

Some nice sweet basil, coriander, nasturtium leaves or parsley might be gratefully accepted. Maybe a strawberry or a slice of apple ?

You will want to begin introducing him to fresh greens. Slowly introduce one new type of green and wait to see how he likes it and how his digestive system responds. If it gives him runny stool, remove that green and try another.

You want to avoid greens that are high in oxalic acid (such as spinach) and high in calcium (such as large amounts of kale). Some very commonly given greens are romaine, red and green leaf lettuce, cilantro, watercress, and arugula.

Bunny should be getting 1 cup of greens per 3 lbs of bunny per day, and you want at least 3 different types of greens.

To see which greens are good for rabbits, check the BB veggie list here: https://binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/VeggieList/tabid/144/Default.aspx
