        Hello all!

I am a mom of two adorable bunnies that I love with all my heart. I am a first time bunny owner. Even know I have had them for just about a year there is so much to learn. I got them when they were four weeks old and they just turned a year on Saturday. When I first got them I put them in a X pen together until I found out they’re both boys and they didn’t really get along. I got them neutered and they’ve been living apart ever since.. That was in April. I have been gradually and they don’t seem to fight it all, but I am still nervous about putting them together. Now they have seem to have out grown their cages. I came across a plan on the Internet and I found the perfect cage. My dad has built it for me, but it isn’t exactly how I planned it. I’m hoping it will work. I am also planning on trying to put them back together. It has three floors and I am wondering how I should work the flooring. I figured the floor with the litter box should be something that is easy to clean. Do you have any suggestions or advice? I hope I can get a pic of it tomorrow, so you can see what I mean and give me feedback,

        Thanks!

A lot of people use a slab of untreated wood, with a piece of linoleum (that your rabbit can’t chew) glued on the top. Because of sore hocks, I like to put bathroom mats and fleeces on, but if you want something more natural you can use straw or hay.

You can bond your bunnies. There are loads of forums on here about bonding, so you can search them up and you’ll find lots of helpful information.

I don’t know if this is what your asking, but in my litterbox I use about 1/2 inch of pine pellets (dust extracted), filled with fresh hay. I dump it, hose it out, and refill it every few days.

Your rabbit’s cage should be big enough (at LEAST) for the rabbit to hop across 3 times, stand on her/his hind legs and not touch the ceiling, and lay in any direction with out touching the cage edges.

I have 2 bonded bunnies, and they live in a customized x-pen that is about 8ftx5ft, and they get around 2 hours of free range time around my entire house and 2 hours around my bedroom each day. (Your rabbit should free range for AT LEAST 3-4 hours each day.)

          Hope I helped!!!

My dad just built me a condo for my bun too! The bottom floor is actually a tray from a dog crate (they sell them separately) so it should be easy to clean. For the rest of the levels, I have a wood base with carpet stuck to them, just likea low loop carpet like Berber I think it’s called.

If you’re asking what materials would be easy to clean, look into vinyl and “hardwood” planks (not actually wood but laminate), these are very easy to clean and very cheap. C:
