        Hello everyone!

I’ll cut straight to the chase.

Teddy and Loony have started pooping by their food bowls where they get veggies and pellets and it’s really annoying!
It started out as one or two but now there’s more and more poop there everyday! They never did it before, only since we moved house.

I know they eat where they poop but they have their hay rack in the litterbox, same as they always have. There isn’t really any room for me to put the food bowls next to the litterbox either.

I’ve been putting the poops in the litterbox and using vinegar but the problem is still getting worse!

        Any suggestions?

I hear ya. Just got Gus settled into his new pen since we moved to our new house, and he’s developed an attitude. I’m hoping tincture of time will fix it, as he’s done it before when he’s had a change. He’s been there for a week. How long since you moved?

A couple of months now, like I say, the problem started small but keeps getting worse!

Oh bunker. Sorry. Don’t have any ideas other than what you have been doing. Anyone else?

I too have the same problem. I recently bonded my two and moved them into their new bunny room. Its been at least a month or so for me. I just keep picking the poops up. Some days are worse than others. Hopefully someone will have some ideas.

It sounds like they’re marking, but one or two months does seem like a long time for that to continue. I kindof wonder if them being bonded right around the time you moved back home has anything to do with it.

This is going to sound crazy, but have you had the “poop goes in the potty” talk with them while showing them you’re picking up the poops and putting them in the litterbox? Just putting the poop in the litterbox didn’t do the trick with my lops, but having the talk and showing them did! Took a few days of doing it but they got the message. Now if I could figure out how to get poops from being kicked out of the litterbox . . .

OK Jack Rabbit. That sounds pretty insane but I’ll try it with Gus and let you know if it works. I do seem to recall having a similar talk with my last rabbit and it did work, but I thought it coincidence…?

I know it sounds crazy! You have to have “the talk while showing them that you’re picking up the poop and putting it in the litterbox! LOL!

A few days ago hubby and I were talking at Kieko’s bedroom doorway about trimming her nails. When she came out for playtime, she was thumping and stayed about 4 feet away. She normally demands lap time when she’s done running around, but wouldn’t let either of us near her tgat night until she was safely back in her condo. Maybe they understand more than we give them credit . . . ?!?!?!
