Not sure if this should go in “Bonding” or here. My girl bun has lost her mind and isn’t liking her half brother anymore.  They’ve been together since 6 wks old and are now 1.5 years old.  Very well bonded until today. My boy bun got GI stasis 2 days ago and went to vet yesterday morning. They were separated for about 1.5 hrs during his visit. He got fluids, meds and what not.  She seemed ok towards him yesterday, a bit stand-offish but nothing worrisome.  I spent a lot of time holding him and doing tummy massage throughout the day so they were apart off and on, but always in same room.  Early this am she was chasing him around cage, nipping at his hips/backside.  I separated them and tried again later thinking maybe it was the scent of the vet. I switched them back and forth over a few hours to let her get readjusted to scent he left him their “bedroom” cage. Then I tried letting them hang out in their pen together and while she’ll eat with him and wash his face she keeps sniffing his backside and then nipping and chasing.  His bum is clean and he is doing very well with his tummy troubles. But he is still getting metoclopramide and some critical care.  Its now been most of the day and she is still nipping.  She is also getting nippy with me which is new.  I now am dealing with keeping them apart but I’m so confused, can a bonded pair fall apart this easily?  Anyone have ideas on what to do next?  I hate to keep them apart but I know something is off.  Any advice would be sooo helpful, they been so easy til now.

It looks like people are responding to your other thread, so I’m going to lock this one and direct people over there. It’s best just to have one thread so people don’t get confused.
