        Hello again!

I recently got some wonderful advice from you fellow Binky Bunny followers and called my vet and got revolution to treat my bunny’s potential flea problem. The vet dispensed me the mauve package which is for cats/dogs under 2.5 kg. The vet said to put it on every 2 weeks, but the package directions say monthly.. I’m very cautious about topical flea medication as my mother nearly killed my sisters cat by putting the wrong kind of medication on it.. I’m sure he must have fleas as I saw a bug on his head and he has been itching a lot..but is it necessary to put chemicals on him every 2 weeks? And for how long?! Will one treatment be enough to rid the fleas or should I use all three? I know I should have asked the vet but she was busy and I had an appointment, besides, I trust you all very much :]

        Thanks for listening!!

        Ellie + Binky (my bunny)

I’m not very knowledgeable here but I did treat my buns with revolution when my cat had fleas (never saw any on the bunnies but I treated all the animals). My vet pre-measured the Revolution for each bunnies’ weight and I only applied it once. Sorry not very helpful, just wanted to relate my experience.

I can certainly understand you not wanting to use more chemicals than is necessary. I’m sure another BB member will be along with more helpful advice

I find two treatments a month apart in flea season is sufficient for my bunnies and cats. Usually it is only applied two weeks apart if there is a serious infestation.
