This is my rabbits homestead. I’m looking for inspiration to fancy it up. I had to buy a dog cage for him cause rabbit cage
(indoor and outdoor) did not last long with him. As you can see he is really big so toys and other rabbit stuff at stores are entirely to small for him. So please help. Also i cover his floor with hay matts and hay so his paws dont touch the plastic bottom.

                  Yep, they’re visible now!

His area still looks too small. I would recommend getting an x-pen (dog exercise pen) to attach to the outside of or replace the crate entirely so that he has a lot more room to run around and stretch out, especially due to his size. Or, you could also look into doing an NIC condo set-up, either to replace or to attach to the crate.

I’m not sure why toys would be too small for him? Rabbit toys aren’t too small for Flemish giants (except for ones they could potentially swallow), so I’m not sure why’d they be too small for him, haha.

There’s a huge variety of rabbit entertainment, as you can imagine. Some things you may want to consider looking into are cardboard boxes, digging boxes, and things such as Cottontail Cottages and basically any and all of the toys and enrichments here at the BB store!

I would also recommend upgrading to an X-pen or NIC condo, although dog crates can make a fine “Home base” for free range bunnies. You can see the Housing section in bunny info for habitat ideas.
As for toys, most cat toys and baby toys are great bunny playthings. Homemade toys are also usually a hit, anything chewable is fun. Phone books and toilet roll tubes are probably the most popular. I do see that you have one of those snak-shack (or similar) logs, I don’t recommend those as they are sugary and generally unhealthy for bunnies.

Well at my local pet store everything they sell are made of wood and the huts and stuff are way to small, and he does NOT like those wooden things and some of them have small stick pieces that could break of causing sharp ends anyway. I haven’t found much online then again i do not know where to look or what to look for cause he is so pickey. As far as room goes he is out all day. He is only in his bed for bedtime. We just close him off in the room if we are not gonna be home. Our kitchen is saftey gated for him to roam free in we are home as well as our room. I have a couple boxes for him.. I just want him to have the most he is always running around and playing but always getting himself into to trouble so I need something to distract him. When he was younger he would roll his ball around, but now that he is older he starting to do other things then just roll the ball.. (if you catch my drift.) I give him paper bags stuffed with tissue paper and a little hay and mint. (Grown at home so no chemicals involed.) But hay gets all over the place and is a hassle so clean. Lol. Also i was wondering if news paper is okay for him to chew and play with? Also if you know a way to keep loose hay up off the floor that would be great! (Tried the metal one that attatches to cage as well as the little containers, he rips them down.)

Oh really the lava logs arent good for him ? I thought the outside would be good for his teeth?

                          Try some homemade toys maybe?

Baby and cat toys are great like I said. Newspaper is fine to chew as long as it is printed with soy inks, and not toxic ones (call the newspaper office, they should know.)
The lava logs are made from honey and wood shavings. Because of how sugary they are, bunnies don’t just chew them, but eat them, and, well, that means they are eating shavings and honey….not too healthy.
