Hey everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Got a job finally, so it’s keeping me busy.
Anyways, the other night around 1 am I got woken up to a noise. Went into living room and both Sage and Nutmeg were thumping. And in the whole year we have had Nutmeg she has never thumped. So this was strange. And Sage was running back and forth in cage and thumping. I looked all over living room and kitchen and didn’t see anything different. So why would they be thumping like that? They haven’t done it since, but it had me worried.

Sometimes rabbits see and hear things that we don’t…probably heard something that caused this.

I second Sarita. Bunnies are great at perceiving things that we don’t or can’t. If this is happening a lot, you may want to check around outside your house or window for anything strange or different, or consider if you’ve made any major changes in the house lately that they may be responding negatively to.

It can be a smell, but probably a sound. Their hearing (and sense of smell) is way way better than ours.

Sometimes my Yohio thumps “for no good reason”. I usually just ask him what’s the matter and if he seems upset I offer him a treat – a bunny that takes a treat is not panicking badly, so to speak.
