My husband is getting very frustrated with Buddy’s appetite for quarter round.
We’ve tried perfme which works very short term, vinegar, lemon oil, ivory soap and Fooey.
Our quarteround is pressed wood with a paper coatng to resemble wood grain. Buddy loves to rip the paper off and chews the corners.
He is always supervised when out, but can move fast to get a good nibble.
We saw some polyurethane/plastic type trim and wondered if we replace what we have if he wouldn’t destroy it.
Guess we won’t know until we try, but wondering if anyone else has tried it?

Hi I haven’t tried that product before but I had an issue with one of my rabbits chewing our baseboards. I tried many things but what I found to work was using hot sauce like cheap Louisiana type sauce worked for me. I went on my hands and knees and wiped it along the baseboards. You might try that in the mean time. Best of luck!

              Is that safe?

Yes, it’s safe, but if the bunny takes a liking to it then you will want to remove them from the area and try something else. You don’t want them to ingest TOO much.

Yes the basic hot sauce at the store is fine.I tasted it myself it wasn’t hot really it smelled yucky though. I don’t like hot sauce. My rabbit licked the baseboard and hopped away and didn’t chew it again. I didn’t pour it on the baseboards. I took a wash cloth and poured it onto it and wiped the baseboards with it. I didn’t want my baseboards all discolored from hot sauce and yes I didn’t want him to eat it. I did that some time ago and my bunny is still alive and hopping. =)
