So I’ve tried and tried to get info online about this but I can’t find anything substantial or with merit

Unfortunately I got chicken pox when I was a child and before a vaccination for it was developed. As you may know, I like everyone else who had chicken pox, now carries the shingles virus.

A few days ago I had a shingles outbreak. I am now on meds but was wondering is this something that the bun can catch? Shingles is herpes and I’m afraid of giving it to her so I’ve been obsessively washing my hands and using gloves when dealing with her. Also I just miss playing with her

You’re right – there isn’t anything clear on it. I’ve read that herpes can be fatal to rabbits and can be passed from human to rabbit, but it was talking about cold sores, etc. (type I). Chicken pox and shingles is a really good question. While the chicken pox vaccine is readily available, most people over 25 or so actually had chicken pox (including me). I’d be really interested to see if anyone know the answer.

There doesn’t appear to be any evidence of it.
