does anyone have any ideas for me? My vet is not very bunny savvy. But I did change her diet and quit giving her so many trees and she still continues to get poopy butt because she’s not eating her morning poops. any ideas what more I can do?

Is she eating a lot of hay or not? If she is an adult rabbit, her pellets should be limited, and the bulk of her diet should be hay. Is she eating any new veggies that she’s never had before? That could cause a problem or certain greens and veggies may not agree with her. You may have to severely limit or cut out the treats entirely, at least until you get her GI system back on track.

I always suspect the teeth being possible cause with holland lops. They have those short faces and are more prone to dental problems—which can lead to poopy butt.

              Some good reading:

Is she over weight? If her belly makes it so she can’t get her head all the way to her tail she can’t keep herself clean.

You said you changed her diet, but haven’t given much details. Diet is of course a likely culprit. (“Trees” is a typo or auto correct for treats?)

Another possibility is bad gut flora.

My holland had poopy butt some weeks back too! I googled so much cause I was freaking out so bad and so tired from scrubbing my floors every morning. Turns out I was giving her too much pellets and treats. Maybe you should try stopping the treats for a few days and decrease the amount of pellets to get your bunny to eat more hay. That’s what I did and the problem sorted itself out.
