So while giving honey a nice rub down i noticed an area of fur that felt like it had been wet and then dried together ish. Upon further investigation i noticed it was just under her arm pits and was yellow and i believe it is urine. She has good litter box habbits and the box is cleaned frequently and the urine is absorbed and sinks so it is dry on top anyways. There is no other places where this is at which confuses me. She is a strange one but how would she go about getting urine just under her arms and not on her belly. Can she just not clean that spot? She is not over weight or anything and actually she is very fit since she runs around the living room all the time and we play tag a bunch. Should i try to clean it and if o what should i use on her and how should i go about it?

Is it possible she is getting some pee on the edge of the litter tray and then lounging with her front legs over the edge of the tray ?

I wondered once how Leopold got pee on his back, above his tail. Turned out he wouldn’t get out of the litter box, so Wooly peed on him. LOL

I agree with Roberta. That sounds like a plausible scenario.

I may as well throw in…. when my male shih tsu was a puppy and started to lift his leg – he peed on his own front leg’s! Bad aim??? Lol!
It was so funny when he would line himself up to the clothesline and pee on himself, ha ha ha! But then he wondered why when he came inside no one wanted to hold or touch him??? LOL!

And yep, agree with Roberta and LBJ – it makes perfect sense! Just grab a damp cloth and give her a wipe down if Honey let’s you. If she doesn’t, I’m sure she will clean herself up sooner or later – I love how bunny’s are super clean.

Could she be chewing at the fur there? The saliva can give fur a yellow tinge. And probably more so depending what they’ve just eaten.
