Hey there! I have a bunny named Houdini, who has sorta fluffy white fur. Because of this, his fur tends to turn yellow and stuff if not wiped down (like with baby wipes). Or at least, that’s what my vet told me. However, he is a very antisocial bun (he tolerates pets on his schedule and that’s it). If the baby wipe thing is really what I need to do, can I have some tips? Or is there another reason for his slowly yellowing rear and paws?

Is there anything in his cage or play area that could be transferring the colour ?

As far as I am aware, there are only two things that might do it. The lighter willow hut might do it, as he does enjoy sitting on it and might give off color when wet, or his hay box.

It’s not the pee pee paws? Heehee just kidding. My bun is incredibly non compliant and uncooperative so I can’t get her to let me wipe her. However a few times I’ve seen her with dirty paws and bum (either dirt or pre potty training pee) she manages to clean up very well and after a few days her paws were again white

So I would say with that regard not to worry. I would be more worries that your stuff or whatever is causing the color is doing that

Thanks! I think I might try to wipe him later tonight, only because the color is slowly darkening. Hopefully he won’t bite me. XD I’m just kinda hoping that maybe his pain meds for the broken leg are making him blah and not wanting to clean.

It could also be a sign of him starting to molt? My white bun started getting yellow splotches on different parts of her fur (I didnt know what it was and thought it might have been due to her liking water and putting her paws and such in the water dish) Turns out she was getting ready to molt and that fur is now gone, replaced with a super whit coat, while other splotches turn more yellow the wipes wouldnt be bad to try, but I wouldnt worry too much
