I’ve decided to make Benji and Luna a cardboard house and I’ve got my dad to collect cardboard boxes from work and I’ve collected boxes from the mail. what I would like to know is what is a safe way to connect them together also one of the boxes had a fan in it so it has a picture of the fan are those type of boxes ok for rabbits?

        thank you

I’ve never figured out how to connect boxes so I just make 4 or 2 entrances/exits in each box and the bunnies get several houses.

I prefer using cardbord-colored boxes i e without print or glossy pictures on them. How dangerous a box with print on it is depends on the rabbits, are they chewers or eaters? My Yohio is a chewer so he doesn’t swallow the cardboard he rips off of his boxes. But some bunnies are eaters.

I also remove all tape from the boxes before giving them to the bunbuns.

From my experience I tend to stay away from glossy or colored boxes, but a cardboard box that is mostly cardboard colored with a picture on it is usually fine… so long as the bun doesnt have access to the inked part (does that make sense? I will try to post pics) you could attach them via safe, non toxic elmers glue or by taking duck tape and sticking the boxes together in a manner so that the rabbit does not have acess to it. Sometimes I just stack the boxes together to make different leves and take them apart for different play experiences ;p si just see what you end up liking better!

You could also zip tie the boxes together or tie them together with sisel or paper twine.
