I have two bunnies. I have a 4 year old bunny that as soon as I got him he instantly within a week was litter box trained no problem even before I fixed him. About two months ago I a rescued a baby male rabbit and  just got him fixed a month ago. He is about 5-6 months old according to my vet. I started him out in a small cage and he pooped and peed everywhere (my other rabbit roams free in a rabbit proof bedroom and just goes back to the cage when he has to poop and eat). My new bunny does not have a specific corner he goes everywhere. The past few weeks he was going just in the cage (everywhere in it) but now he is going all over the room poop and pee. I don’t have experience teaching litter box training since my first bunny was so easy. It’s like he has no desire to go in a specific spot and just goes anywhere he wants in the room and cage. I currently have a large cage with a corner liter box and next to it is pellets and the other side is hay as I know rabbits like to eat and go to the bathroom at the same time but its not helping. What is the best way to get this under control I willing to trying whatever is necessary I just want him to get litter box trained like my other rabbit and stop going everywhere in the room and cage. Please help!

He could still be a little hormonal, which could explain the territorial marking (i.e. peeing and pooping everywhere). I would try getting him a larger litter box since those corner ones never seem to be adequate. Clean everything really well and limit his roaming space. Exercise pens are good for this. Keep cleaning up any accidents and stray poos. But give him a little bit more time. If he was just neutered a month ago, then it could be a couple more weeks before you see a real change.

I completely agree with LBJ10. However, are you soaking up the pee in a paper towel and putting it in his litter area? And then spraying the pee area with a white vinegar solution? Also, make sure he sees you put his poos in the box, since it does help. Just be diligent and patient. All good things take time! Also, is he in a separate room from your other bun? Because if he isnt hes probably marking his territory because of that….

He is in the same room as my other bunny they both roam free in that room and share a cage. I will also try white vinegar to clean up for the smell I do move all the pee and poop into his liter box. How come he doesn’t pick a corner to go to the bathroom in like most bunnies are suppose to favor doing he just goes right in the middle of the cage like an inch from his litter box.

So they are both sharing this corner litter box? Definitely get a bigger box, one that is meant for cats.

He probably wont use the corner because it is either A. too small for both buns B. He is marking his territory because he “shares” the cage or C. is still very hormonal or D. All of the above.
If he ever gets in the litter box I recommend praising him so he will want to be in it more.
Also, limiting his space and creating a different space for him may help him feel like there is something that is his alone, which may lead to less territorial marking and better litter habits.
