        Good evening !

My doe got spayed today and I was just wondering what type of behaviours I should be expecting.

Also she is licking her stitches, is this normal behaviour?

Recently spayed bunnies may not eat, drink, poo, or urinate for a few hours, but they should be doing all these things (at least a little bit) by 12 hrs. after the operation. Your bunny will probably be pretty tired for a while, just keep her warm and contained and let her rest. Licking the stiches is pretty normal, but you do not want her to do it too much and irritate the area. You should gently check the area every day for a few days to make sure it’s healing up nicely.

I just had my bun spayed and i’m sure each bunny is different, my understanding is that the females take it hardest. Like mentioned above, she will probably be a bit tired and will rest. My bun never really lays down or relaxes for too long and I found her to be chilling for about 2 days. She didn’t eat or drink much which was a big concern so I attempted to entice her with thing she likes. Things do seem to get better after 24 hours and slowly they will resume their normal routine. Although I don’t have much experience with this to recount, my bun took about 36 hours to kinda get back to “normal”
