Thought I might start a thread, as all of my pets have been seeming extra naughty this week. Here are a few stories about my troublesome pets! Please feel free to share your’s (recent please)!

Mocha- A few days ago, I was sick in bed and just studying on my laptop. I decided to bring Mocha bunny to keep me company, and she really likes sleeping on my matress. So I forgot how much she likes to use her teeth, and left my laptop open on my bed while I went to the bathroom. I came back, and sure enough Mocha had chewed up the side of it (she didn’t eat it though)! I have holes in all of my bedding, and personal items now!

Rumpus- I decided to change up their pen, so I added a second floor to it. Rumpus had been acting very happy and calm the whole week the shelf had been there. Then, one night I checked up on the bunnies, and they were “sleeping”. I woke up the next morning to see Mocha looking sort of lost, and Rumpus was gone. I looked everywhere, and then I herd a thump behind the couch, and sure enough there he was. He had been running around the ENTIRE night without me knowing anything. He is such a smart little boy! There is a desk next to their pen, with a printer on top, and a little cart that holds fruit. He jumped up onto the printer from the second floor, and jumped onto the cart and then down. Apparently he forgot about his shedding conditions, and I was able to find patches of fur on the printer to find out his escape route.

Speckles- So, one of my chicks Speckles had herself a little flight. I put her on the rail of our gazibo for a change of scenery, and had to go answer the phone or something. She’s only a month old, so I didn’t think that she could fly. I came back and saw her flying at least 5 feet to the grass below! Had to lure her back to the coop with her favorite treat.

One of my horses- So, my family owns and lives on a ranch. My friend was going away so I said that I would board her horse while she was gone. I had to put him in the roundpen while I prepared his stall or something, and I came back and he had jumped the fence! Had to get on my horse with my rope and chase after him! Naughty boy!

A lamb- So my younger brother was doing a 4-H project with a lamb. The lamb, Clover, lived in our old chicken coop/run (it’s really big). It doesn’t really have a real lock, it sort of has a wood stick across. Clover was able to push up the stick and escape out of the coop. We were all quite worried, but we found her near the cattle

Post a few stories of your naughty pets!

About time someone started this thread – thank you Mocha!
Ok, you only want ‘recent’ stories? So I’ll only share today’s…..

EARLY this morning I woke to my 15yo deaf and blind dog Sam who was laying/sleeping on her dog bed that I bought into the bedroom cause she can’t jump up on our bed anymore growl and snap. I knew that Henry jumped on her and scared her ‘again’ – I swear, she is gonna bite him! Anyhow, I drifted off to sleep again and the little bugga jumped on ME and ‘scared’ the crap out of me! You’d think I’d be used to it – NOPE!
So then I stayed up and made myself a cuppa got back into bed while Sam went out for a wee. She came back in to find Henry fully stretched out on HER bed! She climbed up ever so carefully and positioned herself uncomfortably around HIM!

            Hmm, naughty pet stories.
So these 2 teen girls I know come over for a little bit. Keep in mind that one of the girls is not an animal person really, and they have no animals. So when they walk in, my little mini dachshund runs up and submission pees, just a tiny trickle, a couple tablespoons worth. No big deal. I clean that up.
So then our golden retriever mix decides to pee all over the place. I was like *face palm*. That is when I think my pets are out to get me. Remind me to never bring a BOYFRIEND home.

Monty doesn’t seem to have taken to me going back to college very well. I came home yesterday evening to an empty litter box and litter covering every inch of his cage and all in his hair! Plus he has decided my lap is a fantastic place to pee!

My youngest dog Ziggy is always naughty but he has been terrible this week. I have a pet sitter that comes and walks my dogs in the middle of the day when I have classes or work. He likes to bolt out of the door when she goes to walk them even though he is trained not to. This time not only did he bolt and completely ignore her recall commands but he jumped head first into a huge mud puddle that accumulated in my yard from recent flooding. She had to wade through thick mud and pick him up since he got stuck and hose him off!

I took my snake Whiskey with me to school because he usually does really well with being handled and showing students the proper way to examine a snake. And he was doing great he was very calm and just hanging out while people did a mock examination on him. Then this one girl came over so I could show her how to open his mouth. She must have smelled like a small animal to him because the next thing I know he is latched onto her hand in a feeding bite. Not only was he latched onto her hand he began to wrap around her hand to “kill his prey” (he is actually terrified of live prey and is only fed frozen). So me, my professor, and another student trying to wrestle this small 480g snake off of her hand. Luckily the girl remained calm and once he was off didn’t freak out. Safe to say Whiskey will not be attending classes with me anymore. Lol.

Sonn, I always love reading your posts! You always give me a good laugh! You and AH and your animals would make one heckuva standup comedy team!

Moshi has actually done the litter thing, in fact, its kindof a regular thing! Peeing on your lap – that’s new! I bet those boy bits are there for the world to see but he sucks them in when you come near!!!

The snake! I’d have to join Monty on that one pee on something if I had been that girl!

Never a dull moment for you, is there?!?!

I’m pretty lucky… The only “naughty” thing Butters does is give a hard pull to the dust pan as I clean his cage (so everything flys out of the dust pan). Though really it’s my fault for invading his space.

Nothing naughtier than a pull on the dustpan Heca? Do you ever wonder if he’s “saving” all the naughty and just going to explode and have a whole lot of bun fun in one day? That’s what always worries me . . .

This was a combined effort between one of my dogs and the neighbor’s dog…

Moxie – I do too! The funny part is that 3 days before this happened my neighbor sent me the pic on the left saying that she saw it on facebook and thought it was our dogs then I took the pic on the right!

I hope not Jackrabbit… I think he could cause a lot of damage if he wanted to.

If there is a dull moment in my house something is very wrong. I get overly worried if my house is even a little quiet for too long.

At one point I decided to add a second story to Rocky’s x-pen. I thought the x-pen sides were more than high enough with the second story, but he managed to jump out.

The next day I decided to go in with NIC squares cubes a build a roof over the second story. To make extra sure he couldn’t jump out, I took the NIC stuff an extra square out to make it almost like an awning/porch to make extra sure he couldn’t jump over from the ramp or something….

The next day I walk in to find him not only out of the cage, but he had also got the lid of the Rubbermaid bin of hay and was sitting in the middle of the massive Rubbermaid of hay looking as pleased as can be. I checked and re-checked and couldn’t see anything I missed…my only conclusion is that he did a spiderman move and somehow climbed over the awning and out that way….i dunno.

Needless to say, he no longer has a second story and has not escaped since.

I’m convinced that with some bunnies, where there’s a will there’s a way!

When I first got my bun, I didn’t know she liked chewing the baseboards. So i started letting her out of the cage and I blocked off access to the baseboards by placing things that she couldn’t move in front of them. One time, I placed a heavy trash can in front and there was a little wedge of space at the bottom. The bun starting pushing her way into the space. She tried fro about 10 minutes and was all stretched out on her stomach trying to wiggle in. I laughed and laughed so hard at that sight and told her “You aren’t going to get it!” Well, after another 5 minutes all of a sudden I hear a crunching wood munching sound. I look and somehow she was able to wiggle and squeeze her small head to the back and chew on the baseboards. I was sooooo mad haha

Just tonight I was laying in bed setting pretzels when all of sudden my little piggy( my bunny jingles) jumps up on the bed. He looks over at me and I close up the bag of pretzels. Then he tries to get the bag and run. Once I put the pretzels away, he gets mad and pees on my arm and bed. It’s been over a month since he has
peed on my bed and never has he peed on me. They are very spiteful lol nuggets.

Ok, I’ve waited over 24 hours, can I add today’s??? (Lol!)

I got into bed last night with my drumstick (ice cream cone) and I let Henry take ‘a’ crushed peanut. Then he came back for more and he discovered ‘chocolate’! I literally had to fight him off!!! Then he got a bite of the cone – good grief! I ended up sharing my drumstick with a bunny!
I would never tolerate that behaviour from my dog’s – why am I ‘having’ too with a bunny???

                                            NAUGHTY bunny!

PS – Please don’t do this with your bunny. I was/am waiting for him to have a tummy ache!

So apparently my oldest dog has decided that if anyone new comes into the house he HAS to pee on them. And he is not a small dog so the new visitors end up with the bottom half of their pants/legs soaked in pee.

I got up and was feeding everyone when I heard a SPLASH and found my cat having a paddle in my bigger fish tank this morning. I must have not closed the lid completely last night. Lucky for the fish he was more concerned with getting out than chomping on one of them.

I think all of my pets have lost their minds.

I woke u this morning to loud scuffling noises in the bun room. I went to investigate and found that Obie had destroyed his cage. As in a bomb might have done less damage lol. His cage is de of NIC cubes. He tore down one and a half sides as well as the lid. Also, roxie and Caesars cage is next to his and they had torn down the lid on their cage also. It was going to take time to rebuild obies cage, so we just put him and Biscuit in the bedroom. It helped their bonding! I put a note about that in the bonding section.

Then our youngest cat kept sneaking in the bedroom door and chase Biscuit under the dresser. He loves to play with the bunnies, but sometimes they aren’t as excited lol.

LOL BM! I have the same problem, the only difference is it’s Henry chasing the dog’s ‘away’! Lol! Henry loves playing with the dog’s, sadly they aren’t fussed on playing with him! You’ll find Sam (the dog pictured on the dog bed) hiding under the dresser (if she could fit) – NEVER Henry! LOL!

Have I said this before??? Poor Sam (dog)! Lol….

I love reading these stories. All your pets make Tribble and Ox sound like angels! LOL

I have a small one to add. I bought a can of wet dog food for Tribble {dog} as a treat. While I was splitting it up into ice trays and a tupperware I thought I’d put a couple spoonfuls into a dixie cup so that I could finish putting the rest of the food away without her staring at me and scratching up my legs the entire time. Anyway, she LOVED the stuff. I have never seen her go so crazy over food as she did/does with this dog food. She loved it so much she not only ate the food but the entire dixie cup as well!! I’ve given her treats in dixie cups for years and never once has she attempted to even bite them. I managed to pull out some of the cup from her mouth but most of it she ate. Two days later and that cup came out both ends.

And just in case any of you were wondering what food made Tribble go so crazy; it was Variety Pet Foods Homestyle Recipes in Grandma’s Casserole

Fun Fact: This is actually the second can of Grandma’s Casserole that I’ve bought. The first was eaten by my dad during one of his late night snacks! LOL He didn’t know it was dog food and no one has told him either. I hid the second can so that it wouldn’t happen again, though I doubt it would since my dad said it was super bland and had a weird texture.

A few days ago, I was busy with studying. The “bunnies” room isn’t fully bunny proofed, so I couldn’t let them free range without watching them. I asked my younger brother if he could watch them for me, but of course he said I had to pay him. So…… He was with the bunnies playing on his computer NOT watching them, and the dummy doesn’t even notice that the bunnies had COMPLETELY rouined my dads’ favorite pillow. It was this fancy one with beads, not to cheap either. Why it was in the “bunny” room, I don’t know, but my parents are gonna be so mad at me if they find out (yep, I haven’t had the nerve to tell them yet)…..

They also chewed up MORE of the base molding. Lol, before I got my bunnies, the base molding was nice clean and white, and now there are big chuncks, now brown missing everywhere.

                                                          Naught buns!
