Hey guys! So here is a photo of Theodore’s current home pen configuration:

As you can see, it’s sort of a diamond-shape at the moment. (I’ve since discovered a better way of keeping his hay as well, as you see it’s a little bit of a mess here.) I’ve been considering / thinking about re-configuring it into a longer, narrower shape as opposed to the wide shape it is now. This would save room in the room he lives in, but it may also allow him a space to run longer. I’m just not sure which would be better.

        What do you guys think?

It’s up to you. My bunnies live in a square shaped pen. My bunnies enjoyed running the long rectangular shape, but they much prefer square and circle shapes.

Good to know, I guess it’s all about what the bun will like.

Mine don’t seem to care about the shape as long as there is something in the center for them to run around (box, tunnel, etc). Apparently they think it’s pointless to run around in a circle unless there’s something to run around?!

Ha! That’s adorable. I know lots of bunnies love to run around something. Theodore certainly likes being able to examine every object from every angle.

I think whichever shape fits the space should be fine and the bun will get used to it. That’s the nice thing about the pens, you can change them up pretty easily! Maybe try it long and narrow and see how bun responds?
