My two month old mini lop lives in my room, and has recently discovered the softness of my bed. And has decided she loves to pee on it. It is becoming increasingly annoying having to come home and washing sheets everyday, and sometimes in the morning (she sleeps on the foot of my bed.)

She has free roam of my room, and is litter trained, but she seems to love peeing on my bed rather than the litter tray. (Side note, she occasionally poops around my room, how to stop her doing this and getting her to go in the tray?!) I have an outside hutch to put her in when it is sunny outside, but currently we are having terrible weather, and I don’t want her to get sick.

But how do I get her to stop peeing on my bed?! My mother has threatened to give her to the SPCA (RSPCA) if she keeps peeing on my bed! I don’t want to give her away and I don’t know how to stop her peeing on my bed, I have an ex-pen I can put around my bed, but I get up a lot at night and always break it by walking into it…

I’m saving up for an indoor hutch for her, but the only one in my price range currently is the size of a carrier cage. Which would be unfair to keep her penned up in for the whole day and night.

        Help!!

          Moving to behavior.

This is a common problem though – very common. It has nothing to do with litter training – your bed is soft and smell like you.

The only thing to do is to not allow her on your bed – period.

            Hey,

Bunnies always like to pee on soft surfaces, and surfaces that smell like people, so sofas and beds are always going to be a spot they’ll pee, even if they’re neutered, well litter trained, etc.

The only way to stop it is to not let her on the bed, block it off with the ex pen, and if she goes on the bed, take her off.

Put your rabbit in the x-pen that is a better alternative than an indoor hutch anyway.
