stress bonding-how often and how long?

We did our first bonding attempt with the boys today. We put them in a nic cube and shook them around for a bit. There was a bit of snuggling, Pond groomed Pitch’s head a little. We let them sit in the cube for a minute, then but the back in their separate cages. So when your stress bonding buns, how long do you leave the together, and how often? How will I know their ready to move away from the stress and on to neutral territory?

It’s all eventually up to you and how well they are together. I would do it 1-2 times a day starting at 5 minutes and gradually increasing every day. I would do it for maybe a week, and then see how they get along in a neutral area. Do the stress bonding until they stop fighting (mainly chasing, and biting, but a little lunging is okay. My bunnies have been bonding their entire 2 years of life and still sometimes lunge at eachother.)

As Mocha said it’s different for each bonding. Some of my bondings had exclusively stress bonding sessions at first and then eventually only when aggression would pop up.
