It is safe to say Monty has given me more scars than any other pet I have ever had or animal I have ever worked with.

Last night he was out running around and hopped up on my bed while I cleaned up a bit. I didn’t think anything of it since he likes to lay on my bed or on the window ledge beside of my bed. I reach over him to get a pillow and it was like he turned into a crocodile! He didn’t growl or lunge or anything he just clamped his teeth onto my arm and did a crocodile roll! I had to literally yank him off of my arm because he wouldn’t let go! I had to quickly usher him into his cage so I wouldn’t bleed all over him. He was not happy about that since it was his out of cage time.

You can’t see in the picture but in person you can actually see his teeth marks in my arm. It sucked to say the least. It looks much worse today lots of bruising and just yuck.

But at least no stitches this time. But is by far the most painful! This was after I cleaned it up some.

Youch! Is Monty going to be neutered any time soon?

Monty will be neutered as soon as his testicle drops.

Now today is the day I am supposed to clip his nails. This should be fun…

Is there some kind of suction cup or something you can get to help those testicles along?! Hopefully he’ll calm down a bit once he’s neutered.

It looks like a mini shark bite! Ouch! I’m surprised stitches weren’t needed. Lucky for that I guess

That is one nasty bite! Monty really is a killer bunny. At least you didn’t have to get stitches again?

Maybe you should not have named him Monty! He is really trying to live up to that name!!!!

That’s a very nasty bite!!!!! Yikes!

I ended up going to the hospital with it anyway. I guess I needed stitches (or glue this time) more than I thought.

He can be sweet at times but he doesn’t have any problems using his teeth first.

Sorry to hear you had to go to the hospital again Sonn.

                                ((((((Testicle dropping vibes))))))

Dont know if this will help any but the vet who neutered Moshi said he could neuter him as soon as he could get hold of Moshi’s testicles. We never saw them because he would suck them back in as soon as anyone even thought about looking for them . . .

Just curious, do they give you a tetanus shot for a bunny bite?

They do give a tetanus shot when you get bitten by a rabbit. But I had one two years ago from stabbing myself in the hand with a kitchen knife (I am the definition of clumsy) so I didn’t have to have another one. I was just cleaned up, glued back together and bandaged. I wouldn’t have went if it would have stopped bleeding and didn’t look extremely gross even with all of the cleaning.

I’m sorry to hear this, Sonn…ouch that does look nasty.
He isn’t in any pain or has any underlying condition that might cause him to do this, does he? I mean, we can attribute a lot to hormones and prior treatment of a rabbit, but this seems to go beyond the pale. 0_0
Thank God he’s got you, I don’t know that anyone else would have the patience with him that you do.
Healing vibes for your arm coming your way. xx

I’ve thought of maybe something wrong with him but everything always comes back normal. I’ve even had the vet do some x-rays on him and more bloodwork due to the sheer amount of aggression he shows but nothing so far.

Even though he likes to attack me I love him to death. I’ve dealt with worse bites than this from dogs even my own dog nearly ripped my thumb off when he was younger. But I tend to be more worried about them than myself afterwards.

With Monty he just has these bouts of aggression. He is perfectly content at the moment sitting next to me while I read right now. But he would very easily decide to start attacking at any second.

I was always told I should have been an animal. Lol. I have close to no patience with most people but I can spend years taming a feral animal.

It makes me wonder how the others and the mother fared. I think you had said she was cage aggressive?

I’m sure some bunnies react to foods like horses do. Get all hot headed. I experienced that last week with TimTim. He was being a little sh*t. Thinking back, it was on the nights is given some rolled oats for a treat.

Healing (((vibes))) for your arm Sonn AND (((testicle dropping vibes))) for Monty (lol JR). Ive never offered those before I don’t think!

Mom was scary aggressive. She was adopted after getting used to interacting with people. From what I heard she is still a little cage aggressive but not to the point she was when I met her.

Monty is super cage aggressive so when I need to do something in his cage I make sure he is out first. But he is also aggressive if you surprise him instead of running away he bites.

My former neighbor had a horse that if you had an apple he would just keep nipping at you even after the apple was gone.

Even though it may not help a ton I can’t wait to get him neutered. Lol.

Looks like what Cotton does to my hand when he smells another male bunny on me.   Many times over and very fast to.  Got my cheeks both sides.  He even started charging my feet.  He grunts and charges me if I smell like cat female rabbit or dog too.

Wow  Never had to have stitches tho.  Nor have I gone to ER.   I am afraid to.  Animal Control may come and take him.

Does animal control ever contact you about Monty?   Being a bunny I would think they wouldn’t.  Bunnies just seem to be so innocent and all.

                                                Duh yeah right .
