I know this is an odd question, but what brand of toilet paper do you use that doesn’t have a bunch of glue on the leftover roll? My mother uses Cottonelle Ultra and was saving all the cardboard rolls for my bunnies because there was *no* glue on them but now they’re putting glue all over them, and mine have always been glued. We’re getting low on TP leftover rolls and apparently need to switch. Need options! If our tushies have to suffer so the bunnies can have TP tube toys so be it!

I use Target brand – Up and Up and it doesn’t have any glue I can see – take a look at that brand – it’s pretty good actually for us humans :~)

I don’t give my bunny cardboard anymore, as it has no nutritional value and expands in bun’s tummy when wet. It can cause tummy upset and I would advise you to may rethink using it There are lots of wood options that are safer for buns to chew. I mean . . . just a question, but would you eat cardboard?

I don’t see any glue on the Quilted Northern Ultra Plush toilet paper rolls.

Isabelle – mine dont really eat cardboard but they do like to shred it and toss it around. I like to make sure TP and paper towel rolls don’t have glue because Moshi likes to bite lines down them lengthwise and turn them into spirals — always 3 lines, go figure! They might get a bite the size of a pencil eraser occasionally though.

Unfortunately mine like the TP roll with the paper on… If they are out and about I have to take it off the holder and put it up high or they will unroll an entire new roll in seconds and I buy the jumbo 3 ply rolls…. :/

Roberta, I’ve heard of cats doing that but hadn’t thought about bunnies! The only times mine have been in our bathrooms were for bonding, butt cleaning, and nail trims so all unpleasant bunny experiences. Maybe that’s why they never realized how much bun fun a whole roll of TP could be!

One of the little stinkers in action…

When Sumi realised she had no one else to blame it on she just unrolled the rest and sat in it.

One of my FAV pic’s Roberta! BIG smile!

Henry is notorious for eating/chewing cardboard, but he never chews the TP rolls, just chucks them as if they are in his way – I wonder if it’s cause they have ‘glue’ on them? Lol! I buy ‘cottonelle’ too (on $ALE!) ha ha ha ha….
I have to be honest (yes, I know, naughty bunny mummy!), Henry eats so much CRAP that I don’t worry about a bit of glue on the roll. By rights, Henry’s tummy should have ‘exploded’ buy now – but na, he’s still going strong. DAM bunny!

All of mine are crossed with feral goats I’m sure… Some of the things they have eaten astound me.
