So Luka is our newest addition. When we first adopted her less than a week ago she was a bundle of joy and was very easy to pick up. Now she chews up our carpet, neither me or my wife can get near her when its time to put her back in her cage and when we do finally catch up to her we end up with battle scars, and despite blocking off underneath the couch she STILL refuses to accept the fact that she’s not aloud underneath which include clawing and biting the pillows and towels (and hands) that block it. I’ve heard of the spray bottle but wanted to see if anyone has tried and had success with it. Basically me and my wife are getting to the end of our ropes with her recent naughty behavior.

Neither of my buns seem to even notice when I tried the spray bottle. Lola kind of squinted her eyes at me but they continued to dog at the carpet. I ended up just putting a towel down where they like to dig since it was only in one corner. Now they go over and dig in the towel to their hearts content. We had a problem with Lola going behind the couch and refusing to come out so we bought some extra NIC cubes and created a fence to put around it and the bookcase. (Before she was spayed she liked to pee on our dvds and the shelves) She has tried to chew on it a few times and once she attempted to pick it up and move it so we had to come up with a way to secure it but after a while she stopped trying. Now it just sits there getting in my way when I am vacuuming

This is what ours looked like. These two haven’t been secured and the buns are only out if supervised because the grid squares in these are big enough they can stick their head through and get stuck. We bought the wrong box and ended up with some big ones so this is only temporary until I can find the small ones again.

Since she’s so new to you, I think I would start out small instead of giving her so much free roam. Lola’s block off ideas are great as well.

Lola is the only bun of 3 that gets the squirt bottle. lol. She is terribly naughty and does everything she isnt suppose to. hehe but she does listen when I use it on her. She gets mad and goes and pouts. Then when I come up to her she will literally turn her back to me…haha. I dry her fur and snuggle her and shes good again…until the next time…;P
