        Hello everyone! Today I just noticed that my baby bunny who is almost 1 year olds was walking kind of weird. He was putting all his weight on his right leg and his left leg seemed weak. I’m really scared and worried about my baby bunny because I know he’s hurt and in pain right now. I’m taking him to the vet tomorrow morning. He’s been eating fine and he seems to be peeing and pooping. Although I’ve noticed his poop seems to have gotten smaller in size. He can still walk and run, but I’ve restricted his free space by placing him in his carrier (w/ bedding and hay) because I don’t want him to cause anymore damage to his left leg.

        Do you think he will be okay? Do you know if it’s a sprained leg or a broken leg? If it’s a sprained leg, how long will it take to heal? If it’s a broken leg, then what’ll happen? I’m really worried and I’m trying to stay positive for my little prince. Prince is his name btw. I need some comfort right now because I’m really worried and I love my baby bunny so much. I just wish the best for him and that he’ll be okay and that the injury isn’t something too big.

          I’m very glad you are taking him to the vet – the vet will do a physical exam and a possible x-ray to see why he is having problems and will be best to advise you on what to do.

          It’s good too you are restricting his space until you see the vet.

            If he is still eating and pooping, I would say he will be just fine until the vet sees him. Bunnies recover from broken or sprained limbs all the time Is there any u
            update?

              {{{Prince}}}

              Jersey sprained her front leg once and it took about 2-3 weeks to heal from memory.
              I imagine a break would take longer and probably need a cast or splint.

              Hope your boy is doing okay.

                Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring Prince to the vet today. I have no ride and can’t drive yet. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have a ride.

                Overall, Prince seems to be doing okay. He can still move around, eat, and drink. He’s still active as well. I’m still keeping him in his carrier however. I don’t want him to move around much. Do you think Prince will be able to handle another day in his carrier? Any tips to keep him comfy? And is it okay if I feed him some baby aspirin? Where can I buy pain medication for Prince?

                Thank you for all the kind comments. <3 I believe his leg is sprained. But I'm not so sure since rabbits tend to hide away their pain. I'm trying to stay positive though.

                  NEVER give any animal aspirin or human pain medication. Wait till you get to the vet for the correct medication. Mean while keep him quiet and restrict his movement. Lots of vibes for Prince and keeping fingers crossed you can get transport…

                    I DEFINITELY wouldn’t’ feed him the aspirin. I understand not having a ride, too. Maybe you can let him out in a small space (maybe make a wall with boxes or something) just so he can stretch his legs. While he is out, watch his gait/hop and see what he is doing. unfortunately, rabbit pain meds can’t really be gotten outside of a vet.

                      Thanks! I haven’t given him any aspirin or human medication. It just didn’t feel right to me. I’m just trying to keep him comfy and quiet in his carrier. Hopefully I’ll get transportation soon! <3

                        I didn’t feed him any human medication. I don’t feel safe giving him something that’s not recommended from the vet. But yes, I’ll let him out a bit and see how he’s doing. He’s still quite active and is eating/drinking regularly. He’s also been laying down and resting. I hope these are signs that he’s getting better… ㅠㅡㅠ But for now, I’m keeping him nice and comfy as possible until I can get to the vet.

                            I took prince to the vet yesterday and the vet prescribed me some medicine. A small disc in his spine has been slightly dislocated and has affected a tad bit of his spine which is effecting his legs. But nevertheless, prince seems to be doing okay with his legs. ^^
